Supermart had organic oranges. I made orange juice!
Then came the important bit of cooking. First, ginger...
Rice wine and soy sauce...
Thinly sliced "Santa Fe" steak...
And corn starch...
Mixed all together and left to marinate.
While the rice cooked and the meat marinated I prepared my snow peas.
And heated the oil in my cast iron wok.
First I cooked the snow peas.
Then the meat, a little at a time.
Cooked meat can be safely stowed on the side of the wok while the sauce is made in the bottom.
Lastly, the snow peas go back in. This is the last picture, because I ate it as soon as I could.
